The AMS Services Unit provides high throughput, high capacity combustion and graphitization of plasma, whole blood, urine, processed feces, tissue homogenates and HPLC fractions followed by measurement of 14C by accelerator mass spectrometry. The Unit processes samples for Accium's Bioanalytical Services Unit as well as customers submitting samples through the DirectAMS services.
SERVICES OVERVIEW
Accium's services are delivered through three tightly integrated functional units shown below.
The AMS Services Unit accepts samples from two sources: (1) Accium's Bioanalytical Services Unit, and (2) directly from customers. Our new AMS service fees apply to all samples, whether they were submitted by the Bioanalytical Services Unit, or directly through the DirectAMS™ Program.
The Quality Services Unit provides an independent quality audit of the activities of the AMS and Bioanalytical service units. Customers may request services under a non-GLP or GLP environment.
The Bioanalytical Services Unit provides front-end bioanalytical sample preparation services. Accium's experienced Study Directors develop customized protocols, perform procedures such as extraction, HPLC fractionation, dilution or pooling, tissue homogenization, DNA extraction or other procedures as requested by our customers. The samples are then submitted to the AMS Services Unit for graphitization and AMS measurement.
